We are seeking a dedicated hands-on wildflower farmhand to join our team.
Working outside each day in a friendly, fun team environment.
Based in Wartook, Victoria (3401) next to the beautiful Grampians National Park.
This full-time position offers the opportunity work across all aspects of wildflower growing.
Reporting and working with the farm owner and leading hand.
Varied role. Duties to include but not limited to:
· Wildflower picking (using handheld secateurs).
· Wildflower processing and order packing.
· Planting.
· Plant maintenance – fertilising, weeding, pruning, mulching, watering etc.
· Irrigation.
· Propagation.
· Brush cutting.
Flower picking, fruit picking, farm labouring or horticultural experience preferred but not essential.
About you:
· Hard working with strong work ethic.
· Reliable.
· Healthy, fit with strong physical stamina.
· Enjoy working outdoors.
· Possess common sense.
· Ability to follow instructions.
· Fast learner and a willingness to learn.
· Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
· Valid driver’s license.
Potential other work could also include if capable:
· Tractor work – slashing, ripping, ploughing, grader blade, spraying, bush rake, water cart and front-end loader.
· General machinery and equipment repairs and maintenance.
· Chainsaw work.
· Truck driving.
Must provide own transport to farm each day.
Starting from $33 per hour casual rate less tax plus super. More for experienced people or good performance. Full time position available after trial period.
Start ASAP. Monday to Friday 40 hours per week.
No accommodation provided but is available locally within 10 minutes’ drive.
Must already be in Australia and have a valid visa to work in Australia. Qualifies for working holiday visa extension.
